Oncology Wing, St James Hospital, Leeds
Costing £220m to build and equip, this important new asset for the people of Yorkshire and for the NHS was completed in December 2007.
It is one of the counties largest healthcare resources and one of the largest cancer treatment centres in Europe.
Built to exacting standards and to meet stringent guidelines set for NHS facilities, this challenging project is evidence of our ability to succesfully manage large and varied contracts efficiently.
Throughout the 3 year construction period TASC were heavily involved in bringing this project to completion. From drilling holes and creating openings for essential services to the completion of 80,000+ service penetration and acoustic seals. Every seal is digitally photographed on completion and "tagged" to a completed worksheet by the installer - this enables full traceability and forms a part of the O&M manual on project completion (see more details in our services section of this unique system).
A strong relationship was forged with Bovis Lend Lease & Rotary Yorkshire Ltd. to achieve a high quality finished product whilst working around the many other trades on site. |
